Greetings Photographer!
Thank you very much for registering for your ViewFinder course! In case you are unfamiliar with our course format, here is some information to help you prepare and get the most out of your course day.
Time/Schedule: Our course will begin promptly at 10:00 and we will take ca. 60 minutes for lunch at 12:15. We'll resume after lunch and finish up with the course between 17:30 and 18:00.
Location: Please be aware that ViewFinder's has a new facility in Winterthur at the following address: Else Züblin Strasse 115, 8404 Winterthur. A map link can be seen on the right side of this page which will help you locate our building. The classroom is located just one train stop away from the Winterthur main station and alongside the very pleasant Eulachpark.
Lunch Break: We will all leave the classroom and lock the door during our lunch break, but your personal items will be safe while we are away.
Our Day: The course will take place both indoors and outdoors (presentations, examples and exercises). For this reason, please be sure to dress appropriately and wear appropriate footwear. Check the weather forecast ahead of time and make sure that you will be comfortable both inside and outside on the course day.
Equipment: You are responsible for bringing your own camera, lens(es), battery, and memory card with you. Check to make sure your batteries are charged up and there is ample space left on your memory card. We will have a mix of different camera's among the participants, and for this reason we advise you to bring your camera manual with you for finding settings which may not be so obvious on the outside of the camera. If you would like to rent a camera for the course, please contact me ahead of time to arrange a rental.
Course materials: We will provide each participant with an outline of the course presentation to take home as a reference. If you wish to bring along a notebook - great, otherwise feel free to take notes on the presentation handout.
